These could be based around physical pain or emotional pain....or indeed a mixture of both! Very often, one precludes the other and emotional pain can manifest itself in many ways including through physical symptoms.
Sometimes, hanging onto these pains is a way to hang onto the familiar, to something we know very well and the thought of changing it can be quite scary - the fear of the unknown! Some of us can forget what being pain free is like and we cling to the familiar until we can't hang on any longer.
Imagine this....imagine all the energy it takes your mind, your body and your soul to be in physical and emotional pain. It's hard work, it starts to wear you down, you get tired and you feel like you're on a roundabout and can't get off. Imagine using all that energy to be healthy instead....to look after yourself, your needs and feelings. Imagine the relief that c could bring!
Maybe this is your year...maybe this is THE year! The year to address the pain, to help yourself heal, to do the things that you've put aside for so long. Given the choice....is it worth hanging onto it all for yet another year or is it actually worth the risk to try to ease all that pain? What do you think your body would tell you to do?
