I am lucky enough to live in Carmarthenshire, the beautiful 'Garden of Wales' and was brought up in the middle of the spectacular Snowdonia National Park. Both these stunning areas of Wales continue to feed my hunger for the outdoors, wilderness and fresh air.
I am dedicated to supporting people and animals to heal, develop and to be the best, the most content and pain free they can be and to encourage big dreams and life fulfilment.
My interest in Bowen first started many years ago after witnessing truly amazing results with the horses and ponies at my own training and rehabilitation yard. Bowen was very often the key to freeing long term 'locked potential' and health.
I qualified as an Equine Bowen Therapist with Rose Farm College of Equine Studies in 2016 and also specialise in Equine Behaviour. I have over 40 years' equine knowledge and experience to draw from and to help develop and enhance the partnership between horse and rider/handler. I'm a strong advocate of understanding and interacting with the horse as a species and stay true to my strong, ethical beliefs surrounding equine welfare, management and most especially, understanding equine behaviour..
Bowen also changed my own life many years ago by helping to keep my body balanced after two spinal operations and I have been receiving regular 'maintenance' treatments ever since that keep me active and in far less pain. In turn, all this encouraged me to train as a practitioner - an on-going and truly humbling journey. I qualified in 2012 with the College of Bowen Studies and now run my own busy practice from home in Meinciau, Carmarthenshire.
I treat adults and children alike for all manner of dis-ease and conditions including emotional and behavioural difficulties. I have completed the Introductory and Advanced Counselling Skills courses (BACP accredited), have a First Aid at Work certificate and am also currently studying 'Abnormal Psychology' and 'Mindfulness Diploma' courses which will further enhance what I can offer to clients.
I am very excited about the next couple of years during which I plan to further expand my knowledge and experience in regards to the use of Bowen and to continue to develop and grow my practice by also qualifying as a Canine Bowen Therapist.
If you're looking for a fab and interesting guest speaker or a demonstration day for your club/sports club or association, please do contact me as this is something I thoroughly enjoy doing. I also offer a Corporate package for businesses, agencies and companies.
I am happy to do home visits for those who cannot travel.
